Welcome to Masseria Il Trullino.
We are more than just a villa.

Nestled amongst centennial year old olive trees, this modern masseria (Apulian country house) offers a peaceful hideaway for a tranquil holiday with family and friends.
On entering the main electric gate, you are immediately immersed in the estate’s vast olive grove. Over 2 hectares of ancient olive trees telling tales of Apulian heritage and culture.
The architecture follows the traditional style of a masseria, built in the local stone ‘pietra leccese’ with impressive vaulted ceilings and a vast courtyard, the pulsing heart of the masseria.
The house is composed by a main building and a separate guest unit in traditional ‘pajara’ style.
On entering the main entrance door, an impressive metal and glass arcade, you find yourself in a spacious corridor which connects the day and night quarters.
The open-plan fully-fitted modern kitchen is equipped with all appliances, utensils and two large fridges as well as a comfortable island and breakfast table.
The antique oak kitchen table can sit up to 10 guests when fully extended and in winter, comforting dinners can be served by the grand fireplace built in “tufo”, yet another local stone.
The living area is the perfect place to relax, watch TV or contemplate the tranquil nature surrounding the masseria. A large window overlooks onto a private walled landscaped garden, the ideal place to retreat during the hot summers for a siesta in the shades.
Behind the kitchen you will find a utility/storage room equipped with washing machine, a dryer as well as a guest toilet equipped with a shower.
The sleeping quarters include:
° a master-bedroom with four poster king size bed, closet, cabinet, desk and an en-suite bathroom with shower. TV.
° a twin/double bedroom with en-suite bathroom (shower).
° two interconnecting twin/double bedrooms, sharing a spacious family bathroom with bathtub and separate rain shower. One of the two rooms is equipped with TV and DVD player.
A second independent unit, built in stone following the traditional shape of a “pajara” (trullo with flat roof), is located 30 metres from the main building, between the kitchen/living area and the lawn.
The twin/double bedroom en-suite (shower) makes it an ideal bedroom for teenagers, a nanny or visiting guests. The room is equipped with a TV.
For your comfort, the entrance hall, all bedrooms, and the living room are air-conditioned and all windows throughout the property are equipped with mosquito nets.
Wi-Fi is available throughout the property indoors and has a good range outdoors.
There is plenty of room for al-fresco dining, relaxation and entertainment. Choose to sunbathe poolside, read on the sofas under the shaded pergola, or relax in one of the two landscaped gardens. Meals can be served in the courtyard under the large pergola or in the terrace outside the kitchen.
At sunset, head to the roof terrace for an Aperol Spritz aperitif offering spectacular views over as far as eye can see olive groves and white-stone villages. On a very clear day, you may even spot the Adriatic sea and Albania in the distance.
